What is Mass File Migrate?+
Mass File Migrate is a Salesforce AppExchange app that streamlines migration of files and documents between orgs. It supports Files, Notes, Attachments, Documents, Chatter Files and Libraries, 100% natively inside Salesforce. Your data never leaves Salesforce infrastructure.
How does credit-based pricing work?+
We run SOQL queries on your org to calculate total file size across the objects, file types and filters you want to migrate. Based on this, we propose a credit package. Credits are consumed only for successfully migrated files. Failed or skipped files cost nothing. Top up anytime in 10 GB increments.
What is the base price and how do volume discounts work?+
The base price is $1,000 USD for 10 GB of migration credits. For higher volumes (100 GB, 1 TB, multi-TB) we offer tiered discounts. Enterprise clients migrating 5+ TB benefit from significant savings. Nonprofit discounts are available on request.
Is there a limit on individual file size?+
No. There is no individual file size limit. The only constraint is your remaining credit balance. Enterprise clients have successfully migrated individual files of several GB in size.
Do all customers get the same features?+
Yes, absolutely. Every customer gets the exact same full-featured app. No feature tiers, no paid add-ons, no restrictions based on credits purchased. The only difference is total GB and volume discount.
What Salesforce environments are supported?+
All combinations: Production-to-Production, Sandbox-to-Sandbox, Production-to-Sandbox and Sandbox-to-Production. This covers org splits, mergers, cloud consolidations and sandbox refreshes.
Can I migrate files linked to custom objects?+
Yes. Both standard and custom Salesforce objects are fully supported. Set up object mappings between source and destination orgs using pre-existing identifiers and all file associations migrate correctly.
Is Mass File Migrate secure?+
Completely. The app is 100% native to Salesforce and your data never leaves Salesforce infrastructure. It is AppExchange certified and uses the full Salesforce security model, permissions and sharing rules throughout.
