Straight answers about cost, data handling, org compatibility, and how QueryStream compares to Salesforce's own tools. Anything here that overlaps with the Architecture Deep Dive uses the exact same wording, not a simplified or different version.
Yes, completely free, no trial period, and no paid tier. There is no account to create and no license key to enter. Log in with Salesforce and start querying.
No. QueryStream has no paid tier to upsell into. It is built and maintained by Satrang Technologies alongside their other Salesforce tools, some of which are paid AppExchange apps, but QueryStream itself is free forever.
No. Your Salesforce access token lives only in your browser tab's JS memory and is discarded the moment you close the tab. Query results are never written to any server database or log file. Saved queries store only the query name and SOQL text, in your browser's local storage, never your query results.
Production, Developer, and Sandbox orgs. QueryStream has an explicit Production/Developer vs Sandbox toggle on the login screen that points the OAuth flow at the correct Salesforce login endpoint.
Results stream live in batches as they arrive instead of waiting for the full result set. Aggregate queries with GROUP BY, COUNT, SUM, AVG, MIN, or MAX that fail or hit governor limits in Workbench are automatically rewritten to stream and group in your browser, so they work on any org size.
The Developer Console is built for Apex development with SOQL as one small part of it. QueryStream is purpose-built for running and exploring SOQL queries: streaming results, saved queries, query templates, multi-org tabs, and CSV or JSON export, all in one focused tool.
No package install. Queries are routed through a server-side proxy specifically to avoid needing any CORS configuration in your org. Some orgs with restricted OAuth policies may require an admin to approve the Connected App once under Setup the first time anyone in the org logs in; if you hit that, the app explains exactly what it looks like and how to resolve it.
Entirely in your own browser's local storage. Only the query name and the SOQL text are saved, never any results, tokens, or org details, and they never leave your device.
No fixed row limit set by QueryStream. Results stream in via Salesforce's own queryMore pagination, and CSV or JSON export works on whatever has loaded, including partway through a run or after you abort one.
Regular SELECT queries stream through Salesforce's native queryMore cursor. Aggregate queries that Salesforce cannot run natively at scale are rewritten to stream the underlying raw rows and perform the grouping in your browser instead, which works regardless of org size.
Yes. Use Add Org in the topbar to connect a second or third org through a popup login. Each org gets its own tab, and its queries, history, and results are completely isolated from the others.
QueryStream automatically refreshes an expired session in the background using a refresh token and retries the request. You will see a brief toast notification, but your query is not interrupted.
No. There are no QueryStream accounts at all. You authenticate directly with Salesforce's own login page, and that is the only credential involved.
QueryStream is built and maintained by Satrang Technologies, a Salesforce AppExchange partner based in Mumbai, India. The Architecture Deep Dive page documents exactly how login, queries, and token handling work, in plain language, so you can verify the claims yourself before connecting a production org.
