1. Run your first query
- Enter any valid SOQL query in the editor and click Run.
- Results stream into the table live in batches of 2,000 rows - sort, browse, and export while the query is still loading.
- Click Abort at any time to stop a running query after the current batch completes. Rows already loaded stay in the table and can still be exported.
2. Aggregates and HAVING
- Aggregate queries with GROUP BY, COUNT, SUM, AVG, MIN, MAX are handled automatically. Simple aggregates run natively against Salesforce in one call, the same as Developer Console.
- Complex aggregates are rewritten to stream raw rows and are grouped in your browser - this works on any org size, with no governor limit timeouts.
- HAVING clauses are fully supported. On the rewrite path, HAVING is evaluated in the browser after all records are fetched and grouped, and a notice appears when this happens.
3. Templates and saved queries
- Use Templates in the sidebar for pre-built queries: Files by Type, Attachments by Object, Recent Accounts, Open Tasks by Owner, User Login Activity, Largest Files, and more.
- Use Save in the Saved Queries section to name and store the queries you reuse. They persist in your browser across sessions - stored locally on your device only, never on our servers.
4. Sorting and exporting
- Click any column header to sort results - unsorted columns show a ↕ icon, and the active sort column highlights in blue with a directional arrow.
- Export results as CSV (opens in Excel or Google Sheets) or JSON (for developers and API integrations) using the Export button - even while a query is still loading, or after an abort.
5. Keyboard shortcuts
- Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) runs the query.
- Escape aborts a running query.
- Ctrl+Shift+F focuses the editor, Ctrl+Shift+X clears it.
6. Working with multiple orgs
- Use Add Org in the topbar to connect multiple Salesforce orgs at the same time. Switch between them using the tab strip below the topbar - each org's queries, history, and results are completely isolated.
- Click the org name pill in the topbar to open your Salesforce org directly in a new tab.
7. Sessions and first-time sign-in
- Session tokens auto-renew when they expire - you will see a brief toast, but your query continues uninterrupted.
- If your first login fails with OAUTH_APPROVAL_ERROR_GENERIC, ask your Salesforce admin to approve this app once under Setup > Connected Apps > Manage Connected Apps > OAuth Usage > Install. This is a one-time step per org - after that, login works normally for everyone.
